Hi Eliot, I was originally born in Romania but grew up for most of my life in Montreal, speaking French. I hope this explains any occasional pronunciation quirks. I am currently an MD/PhD student in my third year (first year of PhD). My research is focused on deciphering the genes govern cell fate decisions during differentiation. Having been fascinated by science throughout my childhood, it is really a pleasure to spend all my creative energy working on these questions. I have first-hand experience of how great Eliot can be: I won the housing lottery in 2009 and lived in Eliot during my time at Harvard College (class of 2012).
Just like my degree straddles science and medicine, I get to be part of both the premedical and science tutor squads. You will see me at all Premedical Committee events, as well as various science events, particularly the Lab@Eliot, our informal gathering to share our research.
