Class Diversity / FGLI

As class diversity tutors in Eliot House, we facilitate regular events and community gatherings around issues of social class.  Eliot is a diverse community and we are committed to creating a safe, accepting, and inclusive House environment which actively affirms intersectional identities

With a focus on students coming from first gen, low-income, working-class, rural, and/or international backgrounds, the aim is to empower and create community. For those looking to better equip themselves to take full advantage of Harvard resources, there will be sessions on fellowships, finding a research position, and unpacking academia. For those looking for broader life skills, we'll offer formal dinner etiquette, financial literacy, and resume help.

Additionally, some programing aims to provide a space for all students interested in issues of social class and class inequality, such as hosting academic speakers, documentary viewing and book discussions. All are welcome.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, concerns or ideas for how to improve programming around social class issues at Eliot House. We are always looking for new event ideas!
