Hi Eliot! I’m thrilled to be joining Eliot again as a non-resident tutor. My girlfriend Katie and I graduated from Eliot in 2010 and 2009, respectively, and are so excited to be back in Cambridge. I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I concentrated in economics as an undergrad and I’m back to do a PhD in public policy. Between then and now I’ve travelled throughout South America and the Caribbean, lived in New Zealand for a year as a Fulbright, worked as a research assistant, and spent two years in Colorado completing my master’s degree. My passion is the environment and my work focuses on how economics can shape better conservation policy.
Aside from my academic work, I’m an avid rower (and proud Eliot Boat Club alum!), skier, and backpacker. I love travelling and being outside and I’m more than happy to talk about the best places to get out in New England. I’m also looking forward to helping Eliot’s IM efforts and co-hosting a sustainability discussion table. I’ve been through the Harvard fellowships process, the study abroad office, and the economics department and am more than happy to talk about any of these. I’m not always around the house but I’m probably just across the street at the Kennedy School so send me an email if you’d like to chat!
