Hi Eliot!

I’m looking forward to meeting you all! I am a PhD candidate in political theory studying spatial politics and contemporary political philosophy. My dissertation examines how urban spaces shape our political world and how participants in these spaces work within and against them to create political change. My broader interests include democratic theory, utopia, materialism, ideology, and social movements. I’m glad to talk with whatever stage you are in your concentrations, or if you just want general advice on what sorts of courses and opportunities related to politics and society would be a good fit to further explore your interests. Prior to Harvard, I did my undergrad at the University of Chicago, and worked for a few years in marketing and in education. Outside of academics, I enjoy cooking, reading contemporary fiction, and brewing beer. I am currently working on improving my tree identification skills, so if you want to have office hours in the Yard, let me know!
