Hello Eliot! My name is Jasper and I am excited to again be a part of the Eliot community.

Raised in Victoria BC, Canada, I am currently a JD candidate at Harvard Law School. Previously, I have advised Fortune 100 companies, non-profits, and governments through roles with McKinsey & Company, the International Rescue Committee, and the Harvard International Negotiation Program, and have had my work published by the United Nations and World Economic Forum. During the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-founded two social impact initiatives, Dear Canadians and the Co-VID Student Support Network, alongside my younger sister, to support communities across Canada while raising money for COVID relief.

I graduated from Harvard College in Spring 2020, amid the initial pandemic lockdowns, after spending three wonderful years living in Eliot House. At the College, I pursued a Special Concentration in Strategic Social Behavior—focusing on negotiation, social psychology, and sustainability—with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights. After graduating, I completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Oxford, where I met my incredible wife (and fellow tutor), Lina Tori Jan!

I am particularly passionate about working to address climate change, intergroup conflict, and refugee humanitarian crises through cross-sectoral collaboration. I also love counseling and supporting others in pursuing their academic and professional dreams. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, cooking, playing IMs, running, reading, watching Netflix, and photography.

Please reach out if you want to talk! I have specific experience with pre-law, pre-business, fellowships, concentration selection, consulting, negotiation, and summer funding, but would be happy to discuss whatever would be useful to you!
